Letter from unidentified location informing Robert Leckie in Washington, D.C., re recent the death of Leckie's son, 19 May 1826, after a brief illness; " ... for particulars I must refer you to your son John." Although the letter does not identify Green's location, index to the U.S. Federal Census suggests that he may have lived in Chester County or Edgefield County, S.C.
